The average nominal monthly wage of employee in economy increased by 3,6 % to EUR 758, year-on-year, in the 2nd quarter of 2010. The real wage increased by 2,4 %.

Development of employment and unemployment in the 2 nd quarter of 2010

In the 2nd quarter of 2010, the employment increased by 1,3 % compared with the 1st quarter of 2010; it decreased by 2,8 % compared with the 2nd quarter of 2009. In the 2nd quarter of 2010, compared with the 1st quarter of 2010, the number of the employed decreased by 4,6 %, it rose by 28,5 % year-on-year. The unemployment rate reached 14,4 %.
