Foreign Migration

Migration is a form of spatial movement of population, which occurs between two territorial units.
Foreign migration is defined as a kind of spatial mobility of a person or a group of persons based on crossing international boundaries in order to establish permanent or temporary residence abroad.
Under the conditions of the Slovak Republic, foreign (international) migration refers to a change in a person´s country of residence from the Slovak Republic to abroad, or from abroad to the Slovak Republic regardless of person´s citizenship during the reference year.
