In April, the total export of goods amounted to EUR 3 969,5 million, there was a 19,4 % year-on-year increase. The total import of goods increased by 20,9 % to EUR 3 628,9 million. The foreign trade balance was in surplus of EUR 340,5 million (by EUR 19 million higher than in April last year).

Over the first four months, compared with the corresponding period last year, the total export of goods increased by 18,3 % to EUR 14 533,6 million and the total import of goods rose by 13,8 % to EUR 13 884,3 million.

The foreign trade balance was in surplus of EUR 649,3 million (by EUR 567,5 higher than in the corresponding period last year).
