Import and export price indices

Since 2009, the price development in the foreign trade has been surveyed monthly by a regular sample survey. The aim of this survey is to obtain information on the import and export prices of selected goods (representatives) for the calculation of price indices in the foreign trade for the purposes of the analytical assessment of the price development in the total import and export. The results of the survey will be used for the constant price estimates of the total of imported/exported goods. This survey is part of the Programme of State Statistical Surveys, which is released by the Decree of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic No. 416/2008 and, at the same time, is pursued in compliance with the Regulation of the European Council No. 1165/98 as of 19 May 1998 on the short-term statistics and the amendment of the European Parliament and the Council No. 1158/2005 as of 6 July 2005.
